Where we used to drive our Volkswagen Caddies 15 year ago, we now drive these big guys. Seabourne Group Eindhoven extended its vehicle fleet with two brand-new Mercedes-Benz 316 CDI Sprinter vans and next week two more will be delivered in Nieuw Vennep. These vans will be used for domestic and international shipments as part of our Express and Supply Chain services.
Due to an ever-increasing client base with more shipments, an extension of our current vehicle fleet was required. We have chosen for two excellent vans in terms of space, comfort and look to increase our reliability even more. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is the car for goods transport by road: safety for both our drivers and the goods carried is paramount.
The length of the floor space for these vans is 4.3 metres with a loading height of 1.9 metres. They enable the Seabourne Group to load and ship larger shipments even faster.
Magic body control
The cars have the latest gadgets, such as the Intelligent Drive system. Have you seen the Mercedes add with the chickens?

This add explains the Intelligent Drive system beautifully. The chickens keep their heads stable, no matter how you move their bodies. The Mercedes Intelligent Drive system (or ADAPTIVE ESP) ensures road stability and more comfort for the driver. By means of the ADAPTIVE ESP sensors, the side wind assistant recognizes strong gusts of wind and automatically brakes to keep the driver on the road. All our cars are standard equipped with winter tyres, which may come in handy with the snow that is predicted for next week. We also do everything we can to reduce fuel consumption. Unlike the cars we have had before, these vans have a 7-speed transmission, the 7G TRONIC.
10 years of collaboration celebrated
The 10-year anniversary of our collaboration with Biemond & van Wijk in Aalsmeer has resulted in them also supplying these buses.
Our new vans can easily be recognized by the Express and Supply Chain division logos.
